I was reading a recent research article that stated that nearly 17% of our DNA consists of a parasitic genetic element. This means that our evolution as humans is in part based on the influences of parasites in our bodies. This may give new meaning to, "you are what you eat," or perhaps "you are what's eating you." This is also a good example of the ongoing process of transformation and how it continues on with or without our participation. If we participate in the process of transformation, however, we can have a greater say in determining the outcome for ourselves.
This is perhaps the aspect of what we do that most deeply motivates us in our daily tasks and overall vision. The element of choice is a concept we get to share with our patients and clients on a daily basis as we offer different alternatives to their conditions. Whether they decide The
McCombs Plan is for them or not, sharing useful and clear information is a gift we enjoy sharing. We've seen the big difference it has made and how supportive it can be for someone looking for answers, or a new direction for their life.
And we couldn't offer this if our own company wasn't always in a state of renewal and transformation. Recently we took a look at our website and decided it was time for a new phase. We invite you to visit our new home at www.mccombsplan.com. I think you'll be pleased to see what I consider to be an amazing transformation. Our thanks to Russ and the brilliant people at (bp) Design Group Inc for the wonderful work they did in translating our vision into a beautiful design filled with lots of great information. Be sure to check out the links to the right to see how different sections of the site have evolved.
Over the next couple of months, we will be adding The Candida Library and other new innovations to the site, as we continually look to participate in our own transformation. The Library will be an amazing resource for all to use with hundreds of articles, pictures, videos, and references that will help to bring illumination to the poorly understood topic of candida albicans and the impact that it can have on our lives.
We wish you the best in your own process of transformation, as we recognize that it can be challenging at times. At the McCombs Center for Health, we continually strive for excellence and are here to support you in your journey of transformation and renewal.
